Svensk artikel Aftonbladet: Starkast i världen: 7 februari 1999

Strongestman.com: Profile of Canadian Geoff Dolan: 21 juli

In May of 2001, Geoff Dolan placed second in a very strong field at the North American Strongman Championship, beating former World's Strongest Man (WSM) competitors Phil Pfister, Ken Brown, Brian Schoonveld and Johnny Perry and fellow Canadians Travis Lyndon and Jessen Paulin. Geoff's performance surprised many, but a closer look at his past shows that it was no fluke.

Strongestman.com: Profile of American Chad Smith: 21 juli

At first glance Chad Smith looks like your typical strongman. A big guy who eats a lot, lifts weights, and throws kegs or pulls trucks in competition. Yes, Chad Smith does all these things but he is far from typical.

As I got to know Chad I discovered he is a well-rounded human being with hopes, dreams, desires, and fear. It just happens that he is a strongman as well. I was very surprised at his maturity and outlook on life. He has been dealt a tough hand but has played it beautifully.

The Cable/Bar Guy: The 2001 Salem Gold's Gym Strongman Challenge: 17 juli

This contest was OK for a local meet, but was not nearly heavy enough to test really serious strong men and women contestants. It would probably be more accurate to call such an affair a "Fitness/ Strength" contest.

Once again, organized by Kyle Sexton's Gold's Gym chain of Salem, this year's contest was directed by Tony LaLac. Tony, and his staff of approximately 12 people, did a good job keeping the contest running smoothly, as well as providing an outlet for smaller strongmen and women to compete.

This is because people don't care about reality any more, they only seem to care about the illusion of excellence. Real superiority in any endeavor is usually purchased through great tribulation and suffering, and in North America we simply are not interested in anything save Holy Illusion."
